Body Consciousness

What does it mean to be conscious of your body?  It seems like a strange question doesn't it.  Of course we "know" our bodies... what it likes to eat...  the pleasures and pains it experiences, etc.   However, when you think about it that sounds more like our bodies are running on automatic drive than on conscious prethought.

What if you could think before you ate that food that you subconsciously know is NOT good for you?  What if instead of walking/exercising, you do something else less active, like watch tv?  How do YOU feel?  How does your BODY feel?  You've thought about doing the right thing for your body, but why are you not able to actually DO it?   That's because at some point in your life the unhealthy habits you currently follow served you and your body well.  Perhaps your parents weren't particularly active, or thought much about health and nutrition. You then start to associate a sedentary lifestyle with a type of comfort that your BODY is accustomed to because that felt like "love", "security", and "safety" to a child not yet able to think, but clearly able to FEEL. Do you “lose control” when you need to feel safe and secure? How does love translate for you? Only your body can answer that. I promise, it does have the answers!

What you want now is to connect to your body in such a way that the health and wellbeing you desire for your self now will be easy for you attain. Instead of feeling guilty every time you do something unhealthy, you'll just do the healthy thing.  No guilt involved.  Not even an issue. You'll automatically eat right, exercise and move about the rest of your day feeling good about yourself and your body.  You know... like when you were a child and ate when you were hungry and stopped when you were full.  You also exercised because you loved to move!  This time around you will open yourself to other things in your life to help you feel Loved, Secure, and Safe.

Body Consciousness audio recordings were designed to help you get there.  Email me for further details, or just wait for them to be downloadable from this site very soon.  Stay tuned for once a week updates.
