Rhythm & Rules

There is no mystery to the mind-body connection.  Neuroscientists studying this topic continue to bring to light the individual energy systems that commingle to make up who we are - body, mind and spirit = self.  This "self" has been assumed in modern society to mean our brain-mind, however, through scientific, alternative and holistic studies, and the will of the collective consciousness to seek a deeper meaning of our existence; we've found that "self" is actually mind-body-spirit, (or mind-body for short) sharing space and energy.   These entities interrelate, from the time we are born (and dare I say beyond) and like putty changes, conforms, and transforms (matures) throughout our entire lives in order to adjust to a given environment.

The Body's Rhythm

The body is constantly seeking homeostasis and compensates as needed.  When you're cold, your body shivers to warm up.  When you get injured, your body's defenses rush in to protect from further damage.  Now, when communication with mind and spirit is interrupted, the body compensates by feeling easily stressed, anxious, and/or depressed.  These emotions confuse your decisions, dampens motivation, and skews your reasoning.  When this happens, your body breaks down, offering very little energy for healing, making you susceptible to illness, and essentially calling out to "pay attention to me" - something is missing in the mind, body and spirit cohesion.  Compulsions, addictions, and other mood disorders usually graduate from there leaving you feeling disoriented and vulnerable.   Without knowing how to circumvent, or identify the sources of those disorders, the body continues to compensate and eventually breaks down.  Disease is almost always inevitable in these situations.

Your Body Rules

Body Centered Hypnotherapy helps to deflect and redirect actions the body takes to compensate for lack of homeostasis.  Like an assistant music conductor helping to guide trained musicians, Body Centered Hypnotherapy assists in guiding the communication between mind-body-spirit to a state where homeostasis is not only possible, but anticipated.   What you then achieve is an awareness of your rhythm and the enthusiasm to take over again as main conductor and just play.
